The importance of establishing direct contacts with representatives of the local public authorities so as to swiftly solve the problems in localities was underlined in a common meeting of the Cabinet and representatives of the local public administration of Căușeni district. Prime Minister Pavel Filip said that after a pause the visits to districts were resumed so as to increase the authorities’ receptivity to the people’s needs and to optimize the process of modernizing communities, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.

“Many problems were solved in the districts we visited. It is good and efficient to work in the office, but things do not move on so quickly if one does not speak directly to the people,” stated the Premier.

He noted that a national plan for solving the water supply problem will be worked out by this yearend. The storage of waste is another problem of many districts, including of Căușeni.

The meeting also centered on the roads of access to localities. Pavel Filip said these roads will be covered by the program Good Roads 2 that is to be implemented next year. The sale of agricultural products was another topic of discussion. In this connection, the Premier said they aim to launch a project called Agricultural Market.

Among other subjects discussed was the salaries of teachers, insufficient financing of education institutions and the problems faced in the justice sector. Premier Filip noted no problem will remain out of focus and no question will remain without an answer. These will be all systematized by the governmental team so that optimal solutions could be identified.
