Prime Minister Pavel Filip, after casting his ballot in the parliamentary elections, said he voted for the team of the Democratic Party, which showed by deeds that it can govern the country and achieved good results in a short period of time following a crisis. He noted that in that constituency, he voted for his colleague Veaceslav Nedelea, who can decently represent the people living there in Parliament, IPN reports.

“These elections confirmed once again German Chancellor Bismarck’s saying that people never lie so much as after a hunt, during a war or before an election. I heard many new things and evidently there were a lot of rumors and manipulation. I also heard new things about me in this period, but there are deeds beyond all these rumors. Even those from the opposition cannot dispute the fact that the people have higher salaries, we have more repaired roads and young people who acquired the first house, and these things should continue,” stated Pavel Filip.

He noted that even if the voting is based on a new electoral system, the procedure was simple and didn’t take much time. He expressed his conviction that the people will also cope as they are intelligent.

In another development, Pavel Filip said he believes in Moldova’s future as the country has wise people who can make a difference between words and deeds.

Parliamentary elections and a national consultative referendum take place in Moldova on February 24. The polling places were opened at 7am and will be closed at 9pm.
