The Republic of Moldova is firmly determined to change things at internal level. The objective is to make the European course irreversible by the end of the mandate of the current Government, Prime Minister Pavel Filip stated in a meeting with Germany’s Ambassador to Moldova Julia Monar on December 5, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, Pavel Filip and Julia Monar exchanged opinions on the good results achieved by Moldova at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels. He thanked the ambassador for organizing the meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, appreciating the intensification of the bilateral cooperation between the two states.

The sides also discussed the recent developments in the Transnistrian conflict settlement process. Pavel Filip underlined the constant political support provided by Germany to the Moldovan authorities, including on the OSCE platform.

For her part, Ambassador Julia Monar said the made progress shows that the Republic of Moldova honors the agreements and is ready to take concrete steps to build confidence between the two banks of the Nistru, welcoming the progress made in the economic sector, in the relations with the International Monetary Fund and by signing the package of documents on the provision of EU macro-financial assistance to the country.
