The parliamentary group of the Democratic Party (PDM) withdrew from the parliamentary majority. The announcement was made by the leader of the PDM Pavel Filip in the November 19 sitting of Parliament. “In continuation, as always, the PDM will support bills that are for the benefit of the people and county and those related to the European course,” stated Pavel Filip, being quoted by IPN.

The Democratic leader said the presidential elections passed and, given the alarming pandemic situation, the responsible parliamentary parties should have discussions on a broad platform so as to see how to overcome this period of crisis.

In the middle of this March, the Party of Socialists and the Democratic Party signed an agreement to form a Social-Democratic parliamentary majority. The agreement also envisioned Cabinet reshuffles. Two weeks ago, the administration of the PDM announced the withdrawal of its ministers from the Cabinet. New ministers were named in several days.
