The patrolling inspectors will have a more intense work program during the winter holidays. According to the National Patrolling Inspectorate, the patrolling itineraries will be doubled and the number of patrolling teams will also be increased, IPN reports.

Patrolling inspectors will be present on the main national roads and in areas were accidents happen more often so as to fluidize traffic and prevent road accidents. The road traffic dynamics will be permanently monitored and measures will be taken to remove the risk factors.

The National Patrolling Inspectorate recommends the motorists to drive carefully and not to drink alcohol if they intend to drive and to avoid altercations. The people are asked to intensely supervise the children, homes and personal belongings.

At night, the people are asked to avoid unlit places, not to display valuable things, to avoid street violence and to walk through crowded places, where there are police officers. The police also recommend not leaving the vehicles unsupervised, especially at night. If there are no other solutions, the vehicle owners must make sure that they left no valuable objects inside.

In emergencies, the people are urged to call 112.
