Patriarch Kirill leaves icon and relicts of Saint Fyodor in Transnistria

Patriarch Kiril of Moscow and All Russia donated the icon of Saint Fyodor - Admiral Ushakov and his relicts to the Tiraspol Cathedral “God’s Birth”. During his visit to the region, Patriarch Kirill said that a lot of blood poured on this land and now God is merciful.

According to “Novostipmr” Agency, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church said that despite all the political misunderstandings and economic problems, the population should thank God for the peace they enjoy.

Patriarch Kirill urged the residents of Transnistria to pray for the region’s future, for Moldova’s future and for the peace never to leave this land. The Patriarch had been in Moldova, including Transnistria, on a visit on September 7-9.
