The Coordination Board of the socialist platform “Patria-Rodina”, of the Party of Socialists (PSRM), regrets the naming of MP Igor Dodon as party leader. In a news conference at IPN, members of the platform said that since Igor Dodon was appointed as chairman of the PSRM, instead of strengthening the team, he has behaved like a master who ignores the state and party norms. The lawmaker is accused of not paying salaries on time and of not obeying the Labor Code.
“We made a serious mistake when we proposed Igor Dodon for the post of leader of the PSRM,” said coordinator of the socialist platform “Patria-Rodina” Valentin Krylov. According to him, Igor Dodon is no longer an authentic personage for a party with a socialist platform and he should resign. He added that they need to go to court to defend their interests. “We never thought that the legal norms will be seriously violated within the PSRM.”
Secretary of the PSRM field organization in Ceadir-Lunga Piotr Curdolgo said he hasn’t received his salary since May. In August, he asked for leave pay, but received no answer. He informed the Labor Inspectorate, where they told him that Igor Dodon said the employees of the Ceadir-Lunga organization refuse to take their salaries.
According to Piotr Curdolgo, a number of employees of the party have been this year subject to administrative pressure, while three persons had to tender their resignations.
Another coordinator of the platform Fiodor Gagauz said it is inadmissible for the legislation to be broken by those who claim to be the defenders of the laws and of the people’s interests. “They criticize the authorities for the committed irregularities, but they personally do not obey the law,” he stated, referring to Igor Dodon. He added that the people should know the real face of the PRSM leader, especially before the election campaign.
The representatives of the PSRM said they filed lawsuits against Igor Dodon. The first hearing will take place on December 4, 2013. They voiced hope that Igor Dodon will renounce the post voluntarily.
