Pastoral letter on birth of Christ

The Metropolitan Bishop of Chisinau and All Moldova, His Holiness Vladimir sent a pastoral letter on Christmas, saying that the birth of Jesus Christ means the start of the salvation of the mankind. With Jesus dying and reviving, the Sun of Justice rose and the gates of the eternal kingdom locked because of the ancestors’ sin were opened. “Every time we celebrate the birth of Christ, our soul and mind is filled with piety for the miracle that happened in the cave in Bethlehem and with gratitude for God and God’s Mother by which this joy comes to us,” it is said in the letter, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The Church calls on all the faithful to come and pray to the baby Jesus and to bring him, as the three Magi, precious presents – clean and unwavering faith, hope, and love that warms the soul and brings it closer to God and the fellows, and melts the ice of sins and malice. His Holiness Vladimir wishes the faithful holidays full of peace, health, and great joy.
