Passports for children get cheaper

The biometric passports for children cost less from February 7. In a communique, the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology announces that the reductions for children of 7 to 12 years are 21%, while for children younger than 7 – 44%, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Thus, the passports for children aged between 7 and 12 will cost 670 lei, while for those under 7 - 480 lei.
The price of the biometric passports for adults is 850 lei if it is issued within 30 days. An additional sum is paid for issuing the passport in a shorter period of time.
Only biometric passports are issued in Moldova from January 1 this year, this being a condition for liberalizing the visa regime imposed by the EU.
