Passengers will listen to songs and poems in Chisinau buses and trolleybuses

Songs, poems and discourses by national artists could be heard in the buses and trolleybuses running in the municipality of Chisinau on the first day of spring. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca made public this idea in Monday's ordinary meeting of City Hall officials. The mayor said it would be nice to broadcast songs and poems by national artists on their birthdays in public units of transport, over several days. He instructed selecting songs by Eugen Doga, who celebrates his birthday on March 1, and transmitting them to passenger carriers. The songs will be aired through cassettes, CDs and memory sticks, depending on the equipment installed in the units of transport. The mayor also asked producing a calendar containing the birthdays of national artists, which could be adjusted the next years. Culture Division head Lucia Culev said that music contests, book launches, orchestra festivals, scientific conferences and other events will be organized this year on the occasion of 575 years of the foundation of Chisinau municipality. There will be also staged an exhibition of photographs of Chisinau streets, monuments and people. The best photographs started already to collect pictures.
