The youth wing of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) considers that during two years of mandate, they managed to make the young people’s voice heard and proposed measures that help to create better conditions of study for young people, to develop business ideas and to start a family. The measures were presented in a news conference given in front of the Parliament Building, IPN reports.

According to PAS MP Eugeniu Sinkevich, the introduction of the notion of micro-qualifications into the Education Code will enable to organize short-term educational programs in a narrower area. For example, if a person works in the IT sector, this can take a separate course in Artificial Intelligence.

A number of 100 educational institutions and 52 houses of culture are being renovated through the European Village Program. With support provided by the World Bank, three new lyceums will be built and 15 schools and 15 kindergartens will be renovated, while about 200 schools will be equipped.

A law on dual education was adopted and this enables the young people from vocational schools to study and to simultaneously work at a company to get practical skills and also a decent salary.

The MP also mentioned the plans to construct 33 sanitary facilities in the country and to index student scholarships by 15.9%. As from 2024, students will be able to submit files to universities using a common digital portal. The Baccalaureate, Bachelor and Master diplomas became digital and can be obtained in electronic form through Mcabinet.

During the next parliamentary session, the PAS young members will have more ambitions and will work to increase the quality of higher education by modifying the financing formula that will center on quality.

As to the support for young families, the one-off childcare allowance this year was increased by 864 lei to almost 11,000 lei, while over 63,000 families benefit from a monthly allowance of 1,000 lei provided for all the children younger than two, either the parents are socially insured or not.

There was launched the program “Start for the Youth” that offers grants of up to 200,000 lei and the government program “373” that is designed to support the entrepreneurs by subsidizing interest rates on investment loans.

MP Marcela Nistor said the young people in Moldova were deprived of a verry important feeling – confidence that they can change something. “The young people mean power and they should be further promoted,” she stated.

In the eleventh legislature, the PAS has the largest number of young MPs – 10.
