PAS likely to submit no-confidence motion

The MPs of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) are considering the option of putting forward a no-confidence motion against the Chicu Government as they consider this evidently acts against Moldova’s national interests, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the party issued in connection with the latest developments related to the Chisinau International Airport.

The party noted these developments show the agreement between Igor Dodon (PSRM) and Vladimir Plahotniuc (PDM) also includes the replacement of owners at the Chisinau Airport.

According to the PAS, one of the most strategic facilities of the country is brought under the direct control of a another country, facing the risk of becoming the internal airport of the Russian Federation. “In such circumstances, the hurry in which the PSRM and PDM removed the Sandu Government, which opposed such a transaction, is now clear.”

Russian businessman Andrey Goncharenko became the new beneficiary of Komaksavia Airport Invest Ltd that owns 95% of Avia-Invest after NR Investment Limited conceded control over the company. According to a press release of Avia-Invest, Andrey Goncharenko is a former top manager of Gazprom with business interests in different areas.
