Two candidates for mayor of the municipality of Ungheni will contend in runoffs in two weeks. These are the candidate of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) Dionisie Ternovschi and independent candidate Vitalie Vrabie, IPN reports.
According to the preliminary results, after all the 12 voting reports were counted, Dionisie Ternovschi won 30.57% of the ballot, while Vitalie Vrabie – 25.51% of the ballot.
To be declared winner, a candidate for mayor needs to gain 50% of the ballot + 1 vote in the first round of voting.
