Parties may enlist in electoral race starting Wednesday

Parties and citizens can apply to be registered as electoral candidates starting Wednesday, June 17. The applications will be accepted by the Central Election Commission (CEC) from 14.00 to 17.00.
The CEC has endorsed an amount of 33.8 million lei for the early parliamentary elections, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The electoral contestants will be registered till July 7. Starting June 18, the registration documents will be accepted from 9.00 to 16.00.
“At the end of each day, the competitors will cast lots to determine their order on the ballot,” CEC secretary Iurie Ciocan has said.
Independent candidates and 28 registered parties can go for the race.
The deadline to draft the voter lists by 1,944 local election bureaus is July 14. Mayor offices shall present those lists to the CEC till July 6.
During this campaign, apart from their income declarations, the candidates will have to mention their obligations top third parties: loans and debts.
The CEC informs that all the citizens having moved in after the last election shall notify the local administrations in order to be included into the voter lists, in accordance with their residence. The deadline is June 26.
The run-up is going to last for 43 days. The snap parliamentary elections are set for July 29.
