Parties announce composition of parliamentary groups

In the first sitting of the legalities body on December 28, the parties that entered Parliament announced the makeup of their groups and their leadership, Info-Prim Neo reports. The parliamentary group of the PCRM will be headed by Maria Postoiko. The posts of deputy heads will be held by Galina Balmus and Victor Mandru. Tatiana Botnariuc will serve as the groups’ secretary. Mihai Godea will head the parliamentary group of the PLDM, while Mihai Shleahtitski and Valeriu Strelet will serve as deputy heads. The PDM’s group is headed by Marian Lupu. Dumitru Diacov and Vladimir Plahotniuc will act as deputy heads. MP Ion Hadarca will lead the PL’s group together with Corina Fusu and Valeriu Munteanu as deputy heads. The newly constituted groups did not manage to form a parliamentary majority after the November 28 early legislative elections. The parties had a series of bilateral and trilateral consultations, but have not yet reached an agreement as regards the formation of a center-left or a center-right alliance or a wider coalition involving left and right parties.
