The voters who changed their domicile or residence in the period between the first round and the second round of the local general elections will be able to vote based on the same electoral registers, at the polling place covering the place of residence that existed on June 14. Such a decision was taken by the Central Election Commission (CEC) in a meeting on June 23. Also, the persons who turned 18 will be able to vote at the polling place covering their place of residence or domicile and will be included in the additional voter roll, IPN reports.
The voters whose residence expired in the period will be able to vote at the polling place covering their domicile if a second round of the local general elections takes place in the given constituency. Under the CEC decision, the persons holding identification papers without a personal numerical code will be able to vote based on the additional voter role if they prove that their domicile is located in the perimeter of the given polling place.
In the same meeting, the CEC approved the instructions concerning the procedure for recounting the votes cast in the local elections. The document provides that the vote recount is ordered by the court authorized to validate the results of the elections in the given constituency and takes place within seven days of the adoption of the decision on vote recount.
