The head of the General Police Inspectorate (GPI) Viorel Cernăuțeanu in a press conference reminded that it is forbidden to sell, keep, produce and wear the black and orange bicolor ribbons as this is considered a symbol of aggression, IPN reports.

The police ask to avoid political and provocative messages, messages that incite hatred and violence. It is not allowed to carry weapons, suspicious and prohibited objects at rallies. The GPI chief urged the people who notice elements of destabilisation or security risk to call the emergency number 112 or notify the nearest police crew.

In connection with the Easter holidays, Viorel Cernăuțeanu said that police officers will be on duty in sufficient numbers to ensure public order. The citizens are advised to be cautious in crowded areas and to be careful about the goods they own. If they plan to go for a picnic, they should check if the spaces are intended for such activities.

On Resurrection Night it is recommended to move in groups and avoid people with provocative behavior. The pedestrians are warned to cross the street only in permitted places and to wear clothing that makes them visible to drivers. The latter are urged to travel with caution.

If the people leave home for a long time during the holidays, they are advised to check if they have closed the windows and locked the door. They should avoid informing about the intention to leave home through the social media.

For the children to have a trouble-free vacation, the adults should carefully supervise them, including online. The parents need to talk to their children about how to behave when interacting with strangers and what to do when someone rings the doorbell.
