Participant in Chernobyl disaster dies while driving

A participant in liquidation of the Chernobyl disaster’s consequences died Monday December 4, while he was driving. The doctor-coordinator of the Emergency Service in Chisinau Anatol Proca told Info-Prim Neo that the 59-year-old man had stopped the car at the intersection of Petru Zadnipru and Milescu Spatarul streets. Traffic participants have traced the man lying in the car and called an ambulance. The Emergency doctors couldn’t save his life. The body of another man aged 52 was found with signs of violent death in the suburbs, near the Chisinau-Leuseni route. The case is being investigated by the police in Buiucani district of the capital. During the last 24 hours, the Emergency Service in Chisinau registered 669 calls, including 57 cases of injuries and 8 brain ictuses.
