Part of the letters collected by the volunteers of the project Santa Clause's Academy have been taken to the Government and handed to Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Info-Prim Neo reports. “It will give me a great pleasure to fulfill at least some of the children's wishes. My colleagues from the Government will also participate in fulfilling the dreams of the children in our country”, promised Vlad Filat. The Premier further promised to look for a residence for Santa Clause. The Academy of Santa Clause has received this year over 3,500 letters on paper and more than 1,600 e-mails from children. “The children ask for all sorts of gifts. Some want toys and school supplies, and some want more expensive gifts, such as apartments. Alternatively, there are young girls who ask Santa for a fiance or businessmen thanking Santa for his help”, said Irina Babuhina, the Academy's assistant manager. The project's manager Veronica Solomiţchi said the Academy wanted to model an image of Santa Clause specially for Moldova. “The Academy of Santa and the Academy of Sciences studied how our Santa Clause should look like; so for ten years now everyone in Moldova has been able to write him a letter and receive a personalized answer”. The Academy of Santa Clause was founded in 2001. Since this year, Santa Clause has his own website www.moscraciun.md where he can receive emails.
