The permanent commissions will submit their proposals as regards the agenda of the parliamentary sittings to the Speaker by the end of this week or the start of next week at the latest. Marian Lupu told the press on Tuesday that immediately after the proposals are presented, the Standing Bureau will convene to decide when the ordinary spring-summer session will start, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Yesterday I instructed the commission heads to make a retrospective analysis of the pending issues and contact the governmental institutions to see what the priorities are. We are mainly concerned about the draft budget law, the set of laws about the state fiscal policy and other bills concerning the country's European path and the agreements we reached with the EU. There are a number of priorities regarding the economic, internal and social policy,” said the Head of Parliament. Marian Lupu assured that the spring-summer session will not begin with matters of secondary importance. The legislature holds two ordinary sessions a year. The first starts in February and lasts until July. The second session begins in September and ends in December.
