The Parliament's decision on the banking system fraud, which has been voted by more than 60 MPs, must have continuity, and the actions outlined in this statement must be taken by the concerned state institutions. MPs from the PPDA and the PSRM groups believe that the decision, voted based on the report of the Commission of Investigation of the Banking Fraud, should not gather dust on the shelf, IPN reports.
The chairman of the Commission, MP of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party, Alexandru Slusari, says he will insist on the enforcement of the decision based on the report of the Banking Fraud Investigation Commission. In addition, the MP says that, given how quickly the position of the Socialist Party in Parliament has changed, he is skeptical that this decision could be enforced. "I worked in this commission not to put this report on the shelf to gather dust. I am optimistic and I will fight, along with our team, for the execution of the Parliament's decision. The commission's report is already not as important as this decision that was voted for by over 60 MPs,” said the PPDA MP.
According to him, the decision points to certain obligations of the Government, the National Bank, the Prosecutor's Office. "I am firmly convinced that sooner or later we will continue this process, we will execute this decision," mentioned the MP.
Andrian Lebedinschi, Socialist Party MP, claims that the PSRM has already asserted in the election campaign that it will do everything possible to identify the persons who contributed to the banking fraud. Therefore, the Socialist says that the decision voted by the Parliament has a future. "Whether we want it or not, the Government, the Prosecutor's Office, and other structures that were mentioned in this decision are obligated to execute it just as any other normative act", stated the politician.
The report of the Investigation Commission was presented on October 17 at the Parliament's plenary session. This report concludes that the process of the banking system’s looting was a well-planned and prepared operation coordinated by politicians and state officials.
