The chairman of the parliamentary commission of inquiry into the December 23 fatal hunting incident in the Domneasca Forest Anatolii Zagorodnyi, after the February 4 hearing, told the press that the statements made by those questioned are highly controversial, Info-Prim Neo reports. Anatolie Zagorodnyi said the questioning of former prosecutor general Valeriu Zubco was like a university lecture given to a group of students. “He knows theory very well, but the answers he gave to the questions were far from the steps that were to be taken,” said the commission’s chairman. Commission member Grigore Petrenco told the journalists that according to the testimonies of the former prosecutor general, the gun he holds wasn’t taken from him and he wasn’t questioned by prosecutors. Anatolie Zagorodnyi also said that the commission’s requests to suspend a number of persons from posts haven’t been taken into consideration. According to the MP, the fact that Deputy Minister of Health Gheorghe Turcanu, director of IS “Registru” Serghei Raileanu, and the president of the Court of Appeals Ion Plesca weren’t suspended affects the investigation. On February 5 the commission will question Vlad Filat, Dorin Chirtoaca, Mihai Ghimpu, and Vlad Plahotniuc, while Marian Lupu will be possibly questioned on February 9.
