May 17 will be a nonworking day for MPs. Such a decision was taken at the request of the Communist parliamentary group. The group’s leader Maria Postoiko argued that new local elections will take place in a number of settlements on May 19 and some of the lawmakers want to make field visits, IPN reports.

Thus, all the bills included in the agenda of the May 17 sitting of Parliament were transferred to today, May 16.

On May 19, elections will take place in Chetrosu village in Anenii Noi district, Manta in Cahul, Oliscani in Soldanesti, Visoca in Soroca, and Mincenii de Jos in Rezina.
