The parliament granted a confidence vote to the cabinet of ministers headed by Ion Chicu and his activity program. On Thursday, November 14, the new government has been supported with the vote of 62 MPs from the groups of the Socialist Party and the Democratic Party. The MPs of ACUM Bloc left the meeting room before the voting procedure, IPN reports.
"We are determined to implement the governance program that was proposed for your consideration. We are aware of the complexity of the situation we are in. We know for sure that without your support we cannot succeed, and we count a lot on it. We are committed to bringing forward bills and policies that we believe can change things for the better in this country, that can change the lives of citizens for the better,” mentioned Ion Chicu at Parliament's plenary before the voting.

Minister of Economy and Infrastructure - Anatol Usatîi;

The new government's investment comes after the cabinet of ministers led by Maia Sandu was dismissed on Tuesday, November 12, following the censure motion submitted by the Socialist Party. On Wednesday, the head of state Igor Dodon held consultations with the parliamentary groups, and at the end of the day signed the decree appointing Ion Chicu to the position of prime minister.
