Parliament to consider reducing VAT for hospitality industry Sept. 23

The MPs will come together for a sitting on September 23 to discuss the draft Code of Railway Transport and the legislative initiative on the creation of the Railway Authority. The draft agenda approved by the Parliament’s Standing Bureau today also includes the bill to amend a number of legal acts and introduce a VAT rate of 6% for the hospitality industry, IPN reports.

The draft law on the common salary system in the budgetary sector to pay the difference in salaries for employees transferred to other posts as a result of reorganization will be given a first reading.

There will also be debated the bills to amend the Execution Code of the Republic of Moldova, Article 2 of the law on the additional social protection of particular categories of population and the law on the National Commission for Financial Markets and the Competition Law by which new inspection and punishment mechanisms are introduced for public authorities that are under parliamentary control.
