The surplus government revenues accumulated from the beginning of the year, valued at 295 million lei, will be distributed among social areas, according to a bill that will be considered by Parliament tomorrow, June 30, Info-Prim Neo reports. The bill on budget amendment was presented to the deputies of the Alliance for European Integration by Finance Minister Veaceslav Negruta at the Alliance's meeting on Tuesday afternoon. Veaceslav Negruta said the money would be distributed to the people who live on incomes lower than the minimum established level of 1,450 lei. “This will be a social welfare package of approximately 100 million lei and another 80 million lei for the supplementation of the social fund”, said Veaceslav Negruta. The surplus revenues will also be used to fund the early parliamentary elections, which require 30 million lei. Veaceslav Ionita, chairman of the parliamentary commission responsible for finance, said this year's national budget will receive a surplus of 1.5 billion lei in revenues, which he said would be used to reduce the budget deficit.
