The legislative body on May 25 rejected the Socialist MPs’ request to question Prosecutor General Eduard Harunjen in Parliament about the investigation into the feeding of children in schools and kindergartens, IPN reports.

Such a proposal was submitted by the former chairman of the special commission for improving the legal framework on alimentation of children in preschool and education intuitions, Socialist MP Radu Mudreac. He said it has been two months of the presentation of the report by the parliamentary commission, but the actions taken by the Prosecutor’s Office, including after the commission identified irregularities, are not known.

When being subject to the vote, the request was rejected by a majority of votes.
