The legislative body ratified the financing agreement between the Government of Moldova and the European Union for the framework program in support of the current and new agreements between Moldova and the EU, the National Plan of Action 2012 that was drawn up in Brussels on June 14, 2013. The Communist MPs voted against the agreement, saying the money will be wasted. They proposed postponing its ratification so as to examine it in detail, IPN reports.

Deputy Minister of Justice Nicolae Esanu said the €30 million agreement aims to strengthen the administrative capacities of the state institutions.

“The general objective is to assist Moldova in preparing, negotiating, establishing and implementing the new contractual relations with the EU, the Association Agreement, including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement, and the Visa Liberalization Plan of Action,” said the deputy minister.
