The legislative body adopted a bill providing for the institution of private scholarships for students in the final reading. The companies will be stimulated to invest in the training of young people so that the latter acquire the abilities needed to be later employed, IPN reports.

The private scholarships will be provided based on a contract between the student and the company making the investment. A scholar will not be able to receive private scholarship and state scholarship simultaneously. When the studies for which the private scholarship is provided are completed, the scholar will be obliged to work for the given company for a period two times longer than the period for which the scholarship was offered. Otherwise, they will have to fully reimburse the money paid for the scholarship.

The scholar will not be obliged to sign a work contract with the economic entity only if the employment conditions are not at least equal to those offered by other legal entities from the same segment. If there are several companies that provide private scholarships to a person, this person will give priority to the employer that offers the scholarship during the last years of studies.

The bill authors said the number of young people who study at universities is large, but the possibilities for them to find employment are limited by a series of obstacles that must be immediately removed. The young people who get a job during the first year after graduating represent only 38.5%.
