Ruxanda Glavan became member of PDM group, Serghei Cataranciuc -member of ACUM DA PAS bloc, and Igor Himici -member of Şor political party group. The Constitutional Court validated the mandates of the three alternate candidates, at the meeting on Friday, August 23, IPN reports.
Ruxanda Glavan will replace in the Parliament Otilia Drăguţanu, who has resigned as MP. Sergei Cataranciuc will come instead of Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei, who became Minister of Education, Culture and Research. Igor Himici will substitute Maria Albot, who has resigned.
At the snap parliamentary elections on October 20, in four uninominal constituencies, four more MPs are to be elected, following the renunciation of parliamentary mandates by Prime Minister Maia Sandu, Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Năstase, former PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc and Viorel Melnic, who has been an independent candidate.
