Parliament could assemble for extraordinary meeting this week

An extraordinary meeting of Parliament could be held this week, on Wednesday or Thursday, as requested by the Communist Party's group. Svetlana Cicati, deputy head of the Parlament's Legal Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that, in conformity with the legislative's protocols, Parliament shall convene for an extraordinary or special sitting within three days from the registration of the request, if the Parliament's Standing Bureau finds that all the conditions have been met. An extraordinary meeting may be convened by the President, the Speaker of one-third of MPs. Earlier today, Communist leader told a news conference that the Communist parliamentary group has submitted a formal proposal to Parliament to hold a referendum on Moldova's accession to the Russia-Belarus-Kazakhstan Customs Union on November 18, demanding that an extraordinary meeting is convened to consider the proposal.
