Parliament has voted in the final reading of a draft law that provides for a 10% pension increase starting on April 1. The indexing coefficient will apply to the part of the pension that does not exceed the average monthly salary forecast for 2025, which is 16,100 lei, IPN reports.
After the increase, the minimum pension will be 3,055 lei.
The National House of Social Insurance (CNAS), in accordance with its functional responsibilities, will automatically index pensions and social benefits.
On average, pensions will increase by 395 lei, benefiting 672,000 retirees.
