The legislature and the executive agreed the legislative priorities of the spring-summer session of Parliament in a joint meeting held on February 4. Special attention was paid to the bills proposed by the Government for examination and adoption as matters of urgency, 19 of which are of European relevance, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Parliament’s press service.
Among the legislative priorities announced for this year is the adoption of pieces of legislation on the disciplinary punishment of judges, public finances and fiscal budgetary responsibility, and electronic communications.
Head of Parliament Igor Corman spoke about the action plan that is to be implemented at national level until the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU. Meetings will be organized at parliamentary level to inform the lawmakers about the European integration process.
Prime Minister Iurie Leanca enumerated the actions that the Government will take to inform the people about the advantages of the Association Agreement and the Free Trade Agreement and underlined the importance of staging informative events at local level.
The meeting involved the administration of Parliament, the heads of the parliamentary groups and permanent commissions, and members of the Cabinet.
