The legislative body Thursday accepted the resignation tendered by the Democratic MP Vlad Plahotniuc. The head of the Parliament’s legal commission for appointments and immunities Raisa Apolschii said the seat of MP became vacant, IPN reports.
Earlier this week, Vlad Plahotniuc announced that he decided to withdraw from Parliament as he wants to launch a number of social projects and to work more in the field. The same day, his party colleague Dumitru Diacov offered his post of head of the Democratic parliamentary group to the party’s leader Marian Lupu.
Ion Stratulat is the next on the list of substitute candidates of the Democratic Party.
