The MPs adopted the draft decision on the discharge of the Supreme Court of Justice judge Tatiana Raducanu, based on her resignation that she lodged with the Superior Council of Magistracy on November 28, IPN reports.
Under the Law on the Status of Judge, the proposal concerning the dismissal of a judge is submitted by the Superior Council of Magistracy to the President of Moldova or Parliament, depending on the particularities of the case.
Tatiana Raducanu was appointed as judge at the Supreme Court of Justice in June 2005. In November 2013, she was also named member of the Superior Council of Magistracy for a four-year period. She holds the Diploma of Honor of the Superior Council of Magistracy, the Order “Labor Glory” and the honorific title of Veteran of the Judicial System.
