The public association “Parlamentul-90” (“Parliament – 90”) calls on the people to vote for a government that would continue the course to western civilizations, up to Moldova’s complete integration into the European Union. On November 17, members of the association came together at a forum to discuss Moldova’s European course, IPN reports.
Attending the event, President Nicolae Timofti said he welcomes the initiative of the former MPs to mobilize the people in the name of the European integration project. “We have numerous personalities in this hall, who in the 1990s struggled for Moldova’s European dream. Now this dream is close to coming true,” he stated. The head of state noted he is sure that the people on November 30 will vote wisely for Moldova’s anchoring in an area of welfare, democracy and security.
“Parlamentul-90” head Mihai Cotorobai said that Moldova’s European course represents the future. “I hope that by the speeches we will give here and by the political, economic, social and other kinds of arguments we provide, we will manage to convince the people to vote for the European course,” he said.
The members of the association called on the Moldovan people to vote for a government that will make effort to ensure durable stability and to create favorable conditions for foreign direct investment and well-paid jobs so as to ultimately ensure the western welfare wanted by the people.
The participants in the forum expressed their concern about the fact that some of the political parties financed from outside are trying to hinder Moldova from following the European course. They called upon the people, regardless of ethnicity, religious orientation and social status, and on the Moldovan diaspora not to be indifferent, to take an active part in the elections and to vote for the democratic pro-European forces.
