The head of the Public Amenities Division Ion Burdiumov calls on the parents and guardians to obey the measures imposed to prevent the spread of COVID-19, to supervise the children who are on forced vacation and not to allow them to gather together in large groups on stadiums and playgrounds, IPN reports.

“With the suspension of the educational process, we see on surveillance cameras large numbers of children on playgrounds, sports grounds, stadiums, by 10-20,” stated Ion Burdiumov. He noted the educational process was interrupted in a move to reduce the risk of infection with the novel coronavirus and this goal will not be achieved if the children contact with each other within large groups on playgrounds and in other public places.

The official added that the walks, sport and other activities in the open air should not be restricted by parents, but the children should be told about the risks faced when contacting with large groups.

The educational process was suspended from March 11 until March 23. If need be, the measure will be extended.
