Moldova’s Gheorghe Spînu finished eighth in shot put, F35 class, at the Paris Paralympic Games. The achieved the result of 9.62 meters, which is also his best result, IPN reports.
The gold medal in this event and sports category went to Khusniddin Norbekov of Uzbekistan, whose result was 16.82 meters.
Argentina’s Hernan Emanuel Urra won silver with 16.11 meters, while Iran’s Seyed Aliasghar Javanmardi clinched bronze with 15.84 meters.
For Gheorghe Spînu, this was the first participation in the Paralympic Games in his career.
The Paris Paralympics are taking place between August 28 and September 8.
