Papuc and Botnari under investigation

Former Minister of the Interior of Moldova Gheorghe Papuc and former general commissioner of the General Police Commissariat Vladimir Botnari are investigated in connection with the April events over misconduct in office with serious consequences, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office has said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
If found guilty, they would serve three to seven years in jail.
Recently, Gheorghe Papuc was questioned at the Prosecutor's Office as a witness in the cases concerning the April 7 events and over the decisions made by officials of the Special Police Brigade “Fulger” on the night of April 8.
After the hearing, Gheorghe Papuc told the reporters that he took the right decisions on that day and night and thus 'no child was hurt.”
