Palace of Republic hosts one-day exhibition

Icons, handicrafts and greetings made by persons with disabilities have been on display in the hall of the Palace of the Republic today, December 3. The exhibition was visited by a number of officials, including Acting President Mihai Ghimpu and Prime Minister Vlad Filat.
The sale-exhibit attracts more people and the number of exhibitors raises every year, Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga stated for Info-Prim Neo.
The authors of the exhibited works are from different settlements of Moldova. Cristina, 14, who is a student of the boarding school situated in Bulboaca village, Anenii Noi, came to the exhibition accompanied by her colleagues and educator Natalia Nistor, who taught her to crochet. She presented straw hats and crocheted things that were in great demand.
Natalia, 29, has taken part in all the four exhibits of the kind mounted until present. This time, she brought New Year greetings made by her and they were very popular with the visitors.
Ion Luchita, from Cahul, exhibited icons made of pearls. He said he has participated in the exhibition for the second time, adding he likes beautiful things very much.
Many visitors said they were delighted by the exhibits. Larisa Burea, 50, stressed that all the participants were talented and wished them success. Another visitor, the general scientific secretary of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova Ion Guceag said the entire team of the Academy came to purchase exhibits so as to be near the persons with disabilities.
Acting President Mihai Ghimpu bought different souvenirs and gave them to reporters and visitors as a gift.
The exhibition was staged by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
