A new edition of the compilation “Painters against Corruption”, launched on December 3 by Transparency International Moldova, contains as many as 500 new cartoons of the artist Ion Matu, who depicts corruption in political parties and in the electoral campaign from Moldova. 400 copies of the ninth volume with cartoons have been published, Info-Prim Neo report. The publication entails electoral connotation, being dedicated to ordinary citizens to make them more active and to political parties, so that those fight for the genuine values of democracy said the manager of the Moldovan branch, Lilia Carasciuc. According to cartoonist Ion Matu, Moldova faces a two-edge issue during elections: the parties make coverless promises and the voters accept them. “The electorate is kneed by the politicians’ promises, and if they stay on their knees several years more they run the risk to be beheaded,” the author said. Transparency International Moldova launched a Manual of Investigative Reporting for students in journalism. The manual has been written by renowned Moldovan journalists in journalism Constantin Marin, Petru Bogatu, Ion Bunduchi, Arcadie Gherasim, Ion Guzun and Georgeta Stepanov. Some books will be given to journalism schools.
