Painter struggling between life and death after falling from height

A painter is struggling between life and death in hospital after falling from height at work. Dr. Anatol Proca of the Chisinau Emergency Service has told Info-Prim Neo that the man, thought to be around 40, was found near an advertising firm on Otovasca Str. Preliminary investigation showed the man fell from the fourth floor, sustaining open head trauma, fracture of the pelvis, fracture of the spine, and trauma of the abdomen. He is now in the intensive care section of the Emergency Hospital. Another man, 40, being in a state of drunkenness, fell from the balcony of the restaurant Caruta on Ismail Street. He suffered brain concussion and fracture of the leg and was admitted to hospital. Over the past day and night the Chisinau Emeergency Service recorded 787 calls, including 67 cases of acute viroses, 61 cases of trauma and 8 brain strokes.
