The older persons who during the Soviet period lost the money they placed in so-called savings books (“knijka”) will get their savings back according to the ratio 1 ruble : 1 leu. When they enter Parliament, they will implement the program “Knijka” to pay back the savings lost by thousands of people 30 years ago, the representative of the Building Europe at Home Party “PACE” Ion Straciuc stated in IPN’s electoral debate.
He noted that his party pleads for the introduction of new technologies in agriculture and for the diversification of export markets.
“We have enormous potential in agriculture. The irrigation system should be modernized. This will offer the farmers the possibility of obtaining pure ecological products, increasing production and exporting,” said Ion Straciuc, a candidate for MP on the list of the party led by Gheorghe Cavcaliuc.
He noted the fight against corruption and maintaining of order in the country are among the party’s priorities. Revenues into the state budget can be collected by fighting the underground economy and encouraging enterprises to renounce the payment of salaries “in envelope”.
“We are an authentic political party and everyone is afraid of us as we will change the situation in the country and will bring things in order. Gheorghe Cavcaliuc is the youngest colonel in the history of the Republic of Moldova. He received over 40 awards for his work, chaired the INTERPOL Forum in Rome and was highly appreciated for his activity,” stated Straciuc.
He also said that they are a center-right party with a Liberal-Social doctrine and consider the state should become involved in businesses to the smallest extent. The PACE proposes introducing the zero tax on reinvested profit as an economic recovery measure.
