A pre-electoral mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), which paid a visit to Moldova, expressed its concern about the quality of the electoral registers for the November 28 early legislative elections and about the risk of using administrative resources in the campaign, Info-Prim Neo report. The delegation urged the Central Election Commission and the local authorities to take the necessary measures to improve the quality of the electoral registers. The delegation’s head Indrek Saar said some of the interlocutors expressed their concern about the possible use of administrative resources in the campaign. “The delegation firmly condemns any attempt by the authorities to use the administrative resources in the election campaign,” said the European official. The PACE delegation also said that Moldova has been in a continuous political and constitutional crisis after the April 5, 2009 early parliamentary elections and called on the political forces to engage in a constructive dialogue for resolving the crisis after the elections. The PACE will send 30 observers to the November 28 elections.
