The leader of the Party “Building Europe at Home” (PACE) Gheorghe Cavcaliuc said the criminal case against his party mates was started by order. According to him, the splashing of brilliant green on a person is just a contravention, not a crime, but this case involves politicians of the PPPDA who should be investigated, IPN reports.

In a news conference, the PACE leader called on the prosecutor general to take legal action against PPPDA MP Arina Spătaru. According to him, she should be investigated for influence peddling and abuse of power. The MP made a post saying that a criminal case was started and two PACE members were arrested. In half an hour of the publication, an arrest warrant was issued.

This way, it’s clear that a criminal case was started by order also because the MP studied together with the prosecutor of Sângerei at the same lyceum. Also, Arina Spătaru said on TV that the deputy head of Sângerei district suffered second-degree burns, but a medical examination hasn’t been performed yet.

Gheorghe Cavcaliuc asked that the case started against the PACE members should be transferred from the Sângerei Prosecutor’s Office to another institution so as to avoid influences. He noted that the action in Sângerei was political in character and was a protest against the functionaries who get vaccinated against COVID-19 against doctors. He called on his party mates not to repeat such acts yet.

Also today, representatives of the League of Local Elected Officials of the PPPDA, district heads and deputy heads gave a news conference centering on the attack on the deputy head of Sângerei district Tudor Tutunaru. They expressed their revolt and indignation at such an act and called on the law enforcement bodies to take action in relation to the culprits and to those who incite hatred. The mates of Tudor Tutunaru assured this of the PPPDA’s full support.

The Prosecutor General’s Office announced that the incident that happened in the evening of April 6, when deputy head of Sângerei district Tudor Tutunaru was splashed with brilliant green by PACE members, is investigated and the head of the party’s local organization, who committed the act, was arrested. The Sângerei Prosecutor’s Office started two criminal cases over hooliganism and inciting to commit acts of violence.
