The owner of the money that was found in front of an apartment building located on Traian Blvd in Chisinau and in the elevator of the staircase on March 13 was found. This is a pensioner aged 74 who went to the police to collect the money.
Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati has told IPN that the money was taken to the police by a neighbor. After the subject was disseminated by the media, the man went to the police station to claim the lost money – almost 3,600 lei.
He related that he collected his pension on March 13 and, on the way home, entered the shop. After he made purchases, he put the money in the pocket and this probably fell out.
The man will receive the money after he signs a statement required in such situations.
