After FC Tiraspol disbanded, strikers Gheorghe Ovsyannikov and Gheorghe Boghiu looked for a new team. They decided to sign with Zaria Balti, which stated its intention to become much better the next season, IPN reports.
Ovsyannikov and Boghiu return to Balti, where they entered the professional football. In the past, the team from northern Moldova was called Olimpia. Zaria includes such prominent players as Victor Bulat, Maxim Antoniuc and Oleg Molla. The team trained by Sergei Dubrovin also signed other footballers who played for the national team.
Zaria closed the previous season last, but wasn’t relegated because FC Costuleni and Veris withdrew.
