The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry began to pay the overdue debts for 2015. About 5 million lei was allocated for paying subsidies to about 250 recipients. According to the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture, 3,395 applications for subsidies haven’t been yet satisfied, IPN reports.
The Ministry of Agriculture said the agriculture subsidization fund last year was 610 million lei. Of this sum, 231.5 million lei was used to repay the debts for 2014, based on 2,350 applications.
A number of 4,051 applications for subsidies to the value of 540.1 million lei were received last year. Of the total number of applications, about 190 subsidies for a total amount of 56.7 million lei were rejected as illegible. Thus, there were made orders to pay subsidies of 362.8 million lei to 2,604 recipients based on the 3,862 eligible applications. Of the total number of recipients, 251 were paid 56.4 million lei subsidies.
