Over the past year, average consumer prices increased by 7%

Average consumer prices rose by 7% over the course of 12 months. Specifically, food prices increased by 7.2%, non-food goods by 4.5%, and services provided to the population by 10.5%, IPN reports, citing data from the National Bureau of Statistics.

Additionally, in December 2024, compared to November 2024, a 1% increase in average consumer prices was recorded. This growth was driven by a rise in food prices by approximately 0.6%, non-food goods by about 0.2%, and services provided to the population by around 2.9%.

In December 2024, compared to November of the same year, the most notable increases in average consumer prices for food products were observed for hen eggs (+4.4%), vegetables (+2.6%), vegetable oil (+2.5%), and milk and dairy products (+0.5%).

For non-food goods, the average consumer prices rose for medicines (+0.5%) and fuels (+0.4%) during the reporting period.

In December, compared to November 2024, regulated tariffs for natural gas supply services sharply increased by 27.6%.

At the same time, during the analyzed period, a slight decrease in fruit prices was recorded (-0.4%).
