Border police officers identified more than 1,000 kg of contraband poultry in the morning of September 6. The meat wasn’t accompanied by documents of origin and was to be sold in stores in Chisinau, IPN reports
According to press officer of the Border Police Daniel Manzatu, the contraband was found in a unit of transport travelling on the Causeni-Chisinau road. The driver said the meat was bought in Tiraspol and was to be sold in Chisinau.
The man was arrested for illegally transporting contraband, while the car and the meat were confiscated and transmitted to the Causeni Police Inspectorate for examination.
